🌲 You Did Not Fly to Montana for More of the Same.

The inbox can wait. The group chat will survive. You came here for room to breathe, sky you can actually see, and the kind of quiet that makes your family look up from their phones. A crowded hotel near the highway will not give you that. A thoughtfully built cabin on a working farm will.

🤠 A Family Farm. A Warm Welcome. A Place That Feels Like Yours.

We are the family behind Wheat Ridge Farm, and we built these cabins for the same reason you are booking one. People need a place to slow down. Our farm has been part of this valley for generations, growing hay, wheat, and barley, and we set out to create a stay that honors the land while giving guests every comfort of home. We never set out to build something "luxury." We simply built what we would want for our own family. Guests keep telling us it shows.

🐑 A Real Working Farm. A Real Montana Experience.

This is not a manufactured getaway. Depending on the season, you may spot cows, sheep, chickens, deer, or even elk moving across the property. We grow hay, wheat, and barley here, and guests get a front row seat to the rhythm of a real Montana farm. It is the kind of stay that turns into stories your family will still be telling years from now.

🌱 You Are Here Early. That Is the Best Part.

The cabin itself is fully complete and ready to host you in comfort. The landscape and hardscape around it are still a work in progress, and we want to be upfront about that. The vision for this property is something we are genuinely excited about, and our hope is that our earliest guests will return year after year to see it come to life.

In fall of 2026, each cabin will receive its own private stone patio, expanded outdoor sitting area, firepit, and hot tub. Returning guests will be the first to enjoy them, and we will have special offers reserved just for you. Message us for details, and consider this your invitation to grow with the farm.

🚫 A Note About Pets

Because Wheat Ridge Farm is a working farm and members of our own family with severe pet allergies stay in the cabins throughout the year, we maintain a strict no pet policy in every cabin. This policy includes emotional support animals. We appreciate your understanding, and we promise the wildlife around the property will give your animal loving heart plenty to smile about.

⏳ Grand Opening Rates Will Not Last.

These cabins are brand new, and our introductory pricing is only available to early guests. Once the calendar fills and the rates adjust, this window closes. If a slower, more thoughtful Montana trip has been on your list, this is the season to claim it, and to lock in your spot before the patios, firepits, and hot tubs arrive next fall.

🌄 Leave Different Than You Arrived.

Guests come to Wheat Ridge Farm tired, distracted, and ready for a break. They leave rested, reconnected, and reminded of what matters most. Whether you came for the adventure, the views, the family time, or simply the silence, you will go home with the kind of memories that stay with you long after the drive back, and a standing invitation to return as the farm continues to grow.

Getting Around

If you are visiting between late fall and early spring, an AWD or 4WD vehicle is a great choice for your Montana trip. The county road to the farm is plowed regularly and well maintained, so getting to the cabin is straightforward. Where AWD or 4WD really shines is on the drives you will want to take while you are here, from morning runs to Bridger Bowl and Big Sky to trailheads, fishing access points, and the scenic backroads that make this part of Montana so special. If you are flying in and renting a vehicle, it is worth requesting one when you book.
